This has been a ridiculously crazy month of remodeling our bedroom, progressing in my pregnancy…and a beautiful photo shoot to prove it, and of course, Yogaing to the best of my ability. I even made a few strides in my Essential Oil business, furthering and projecting myself into success!
Our month began with another unexpected encounter with mold in our bedroom. That prompted a complete remodeling of the room…to include the removal and replacement of insulation and a wall. Once the new wall was installed, we had to paint over it…and that led to a whole new color scheme. Or maybe I should say, the whole new LACK of a color scheme. This time, I opted for the bright, room enlarging effect of ALL. WHITE. I know, I know. It doesn’t quite sound like me, does it? But I can assure you, I am madly in love with its outcome and I’m super pleased we went that route. The remodel was broken down into 8 posts, 7 of which took place this month. You’ll have to read on into October to catch the Grand Finale post.
Part 1-Bedroom Remodel 3.0
Part 2-Insulation and wall removal and replacement
Part 3-Walls and ceiling sanding and painting
Part 4-Bed Platform Rebuild (2.0)
And HERE is the first time we rebuilt the bed platform…when we first bought the RV back in 2013.
Part 5-Window Work & Creating A Cabinet
Part 6-Ultra Pure White Bedroom
Part 7-Final Coat & Cabinet Is Up
On the day Nic put the first two coats of paint on the walls and ceiling, the girls and I slipped out of the house for the day, to attend my 7 Month Maternity Photo Shoot!!! Well, I was 1 day away from hitting 7 months. Auntie Lauren hung out with us for the day and lent a hand with my girls. I don’t know what I’d do without her. The photos turned out absolutely amazing, but I’m not at all surprised. Jennifer Lambson of Photography by Jennifer Lambson is an incredibly gifted photographer. You can check out her FB page HERE, if you’re interested in getting in touch with her to do photos for you! You can see the whole photo shoot HERE, and here are a few of my favorite shots from that day…
I am soooooooo in love with how they all turned out.
This month's Young Living Essential Rewards order was a bit less $, only 135pv, but I still earned $20 back (15% earnings rate) for future orders! I restocked a couple of my samples to share with YOU & got 5mL bottles of Helichrysum & Cardamom. If you'd like to learn more about Young Living Essential Oils or their rewards program, shoot me an email at: EssentialOils@BohoHobos.com!!!
I immediately put my Cardamom to use by whipping up this delectable Fall diffuser blend!!! It was so yummy smelling…I wanted to eat it!
Towards the end of the month, I put my resourcefulness to work by drawing up and building (all by myself) a new Essential Oils cabinet. My old one was overflowing with Oily love and goodness and was in dire need of being replaced. I wanted something large, yet built to the exact dimensions of my 15mL bottles and I wanted it to to look built into my bedroom. The end result was nothing short of perfect (to my expectations)…albeit flawed in every loving way imaginable.
I was able to repurpose my old cabinet’s hardware, utilize scrap wood from our bedroom remodel project, and I dipped into my bedroom paint.
Basically, I spent $0 to build this.
I want to make a tutorial on how I built it, but that has yet to happen. I will get around to it soon though, I promise.
My #YogaEveryDamnDay Challenge for the month of September was a bit lacking, thanks to our remodeling project. I only managed to do it about half the month. I will do better in October though! You can see the post HERE. Oh, I DID do a few poses at my maternity photo shoot.
My dreads, being older than a year now, no longer get their own monthly update post, but they are still fun & lovely. 14 Months old now.
The Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on the 27th was absolutely out of this world!!! I hope you got a chance to witness it in person, but in case you didn’t, here are a couple shots I took of it. I really wish I had a better camera during times like this!
We had a fabulous first month of [not] Back to School! We enjoyed the usual Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, but we also enjoy painting, clay play and drawing.
Letters & Numbers Fun!
Drawing and Painting Fun!
Clay Play Fun!
MHG made a Faery, Jack Sparrow (the Pirate) and a house room replica…
Cindy made Mommy (hahahahaha) and practiced her letter A, number 0 & Circle shape.
The Mountains are looking gorgeous as ever…and it’s only a matter of time before they’re covered in white…but, I CAN wait.
And now for this month’s pregnancy by the week shots!
I know this post was a bit haphazardly put together, but this was the jist of our month. It was a bit chaotic, a bit fun, and a whole lotta busy. Thanks for keeping up with our shenanigans and we look forward to sharing more with you in the future. All our best to you and yours!
