I am still going strong! I did miss a couple days early this month, however, when we last second visited my Mom in Texas. Nevertheless, I picked right back up where I left off. My pregnancy is still going wonderfully…and I still don’t feel pregnant. That’s a good thing, but it probably won’t last much longer. I’m sure it’s mostly due to my Vegan diet and Yoga. I imagine, as I enter my 3rd trimester next month, that will begin to change. My not feeling pregnant…not my diet…but maybe my Yoga. In the meantime, I am taking each day not feeling out of breath, too large or too uncomfortable as a gift, and enjoying it while it lasts. Here are the 22 poses I did manage to do this month.

I feel the need to say that this is horrific alignment for that posture…that’s why I included this photo of the proper alignment. The belly is really throwing me off in it. Ideally, your alignment needs to be straight up and down, not your butt sticking out. And I needed my counter to be able to breathe. I couldn't breathe in this pose with both legs in the air. So yea. Do as I say, not as I do, haha!

I have been incorporating my Essential Oils into my Yoga and Meditation practice, and since doing so, it has turned my Yoga practice upside down. Sometimes even literally. This month, my oils propelled my practice through my increasing pregnancy exhaustion. They gave me the energy and comfort to continue pushing myself. I am not ready to hang up the Yoga mat…and I honestly hope that day never comes. I really do love my Young Living Essential Oils. I try to incorporate a different oil(s) every month into my practice.
This month, I gave “Jade Lemon” and “Cedarwood” a try. I put a drop of Jade Lemon on my temples to energize and uplift me during my practice. I put a drop of Cedarwood on the back of my neck to comfort me as I continued to practice my Yoga throughout this pregnancy. I put 4 drops of each into my diffuser to diffuse while practicing as well. It filled the air with such a delicious and fantastic scent! It was just what I needed .

I am still enjoying this challenge and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon...slowing down perhaps, but not stopping. Pregnancy is NOT a sickness. It is simply a variation of normal. Rest assured though, my Midwife is 100% up-to-date on all the poses I’m doing, and has continued to give me the green light to continue my practice…with some exceptions and modifications thrown in here and there.
