So the love of my life turned 34 today! Being a Saturday, he didn’t have to work, so we let him sleep in a bit before waking him up to give him his card and present. We made him close his eyes first…
We got Daddy a new fishing pole (sans reel) that I remember him eyeballing a couple of MONTHS ago. I remembered that it was yellow, an ultra-light, $20 and made in Denver, CO. Luckily for me, the last time I was able to get to the store, it was still there. I bet he doesn’t think I pay attention?!
We shooed him out for the day to go fishing with his buddy J. They were gone a good portion of the day, arriving home in the afternoon as bright red as tomatoes!!!
The birthday boy grilled us up a BBQ of steak, burgers, dogs and a delicious salad & grilled yams for me! J even bought him some presents and picked him up a Red Velvet Cake! Good thing too, because I still have no vehicle to get out and about with. :-(
Quit that mean muggin’!
We have had an amazing time with my Mom here visiting these past 2 weeks. Tomorrow, she heads home, and Nic and I decided that I am going to take her. The girls, Mojo and I are all packed up and ready to hit the road. Woohoo! Roadtrip!!! We’re gonna stay with his parents for a week, then he’s gonna rent a car, drive up, pick us up and bring us back home.
I am so blessed to be able to celebrate another year with my Husband. I love him so very, very much. He is such an amazing Husband, Father and Man in general. I’m also incredibly grateful to his parents for bringing him into this world! Thanks guys! You rock! He only gets better with age! We had a wonderful time celebrating Nic’s birthday with him today. I can’t think of a better way to end our visit with my Mom, than with a celebration! And on that note…
…COLORADO, here we come!!!
