We’re on a road trip from Richmond, VA to Phoenix, AZ and currently we are making our way through Kansas. We’re still unsure if we’re going to drive all the way through Kansas and try to get to our family in Colorado Springs, CO…or if we’ll stop for the night at the Triple J RV park in Russell, KS. We spent the night there on our way to Virginia back in June, and we really enjoyed the park. But for now, we struggle with low visibility due to the rain, super gusty winds and the up-and-down Interstate.
Passing through the small town where my father-in-law received his doctorate in Physics, as well as the town where my Husband was born. :)
It’s such a small town, but it’s pretty cute looking from what I see from the road.
After we get out of Lawrence, we make our way through more of Kansas. We are enjoying the scenery along the way.
There’s a little bit of screwing around on the girls and I’s parts. We busy ourselves by reading, photographing the scenery, listening to our mp3 players and talking about what we wanna do and who we wanna see once we get to Colorado. Looking out the window is a pretty common thing in our truck as well. Nic just chugs along as he pulls our home behind us through the pouring rain.
Well, our plan was to stop for the night here in Russell, KS…but it looks like we’ll just wave to them out the window instead. Ready or not Colorado, here we come!!!
