The Fourth, Fishing & Fireworks

For Independence Day, Ahdoo worked half a day. He came home after lunchtime and took us fishing. MHG caught her first fish…and not just one, but THREE!!! AND, she caught all three in the span of about 10 minutes. Did I mention this was her first time fishing? It was AWESOME!!! I was, and still am incredibly proud of her!

He was hoping for a Bass instead...

Meanwhile, her sister ran around trying to catch the ducks that were walking and swimming around everywhere (apparently not scaring the fish away). She also did some Yoga for a bit, cuddled with me, and spent some time in her car.

I also enjoyed the scenery while relaxing and doing some much needed Yoga.

Of course I also took pictures of my surroundings. There were ducks everywhere, I saw a turtle in the water, and not that we’re trying, but if we ever have another kid and it’s a girl…I’m going to name her Willow, after my favorite tree. If it’s a boy…well, that would honestly shock me…though I wouldn’t mind one bit. There were Willow trees everywhere! I was in heaven!

Later that day, we went home, relaxed, let Cindy take a late nap, climbed around on the roof, went to Wa-Wa (a Subway like store) for some yummy sandwiches and headed off to King’s Dominion (Amusement Park) to see some awesome fireworks! That was a mouthful, but it was a great day and the evening was the perfect ending to a perfect day!

I am incredibly blessed to be able to live this lifestyle alongside the love of my life and our two beautiful girls! I am so grateful to my Husband’s company for giving us the opportunity to see our country and for helping to make it all possible. They are an amazing company! It’s also mentionable that my Husband works his @$$ off to bring this lifestyle to the 4 of us, and I appreciate that immensely!

As I watched the dazzling fireworks off in the distance, I couldn’t stop the smile spreading across my face. I couldn’t help but acknowledge that today, on Independence Day, not only are we celebrating our Nation’s freedom, but also, ours as well.

Happy Birthday America!!!
