Summer Solstice-Planting & Pretty Girls

The Wheel turns yet again. Welcome back to the Sun!!! I look forward to basking in your eternal greatness for the next couple months!!! Litha is probably one of my most favorite Sabbats!!! Unfortunately, amidst all the chaos of unpacking, I didn’t have time to really do anything super special…but soon that’ll change.
The eldest was heart broken because she planted tomatoes from just a seed in March. When we moved into the RV at my in-laws, we brought the plant to enjoy the sun at their home. By then is was about a foot tall and was 3 separate plants. Needless to say, when we pulled out of Colorado, it was almost 2 feet tall and was starting to flower. She was so excited and proud of herself. However, we left Colorado and it behind. We completely forgot it and forgot about it until we got here. We took her to Target the next day and she got some new seeds, organic no less, and we planted them today. I hope they’ll grow and be harvestable in time, but I fear that they won’t make it. In the meantime, my fingers are crossed for her sake.
I planted some herbs as well. Basil, Parsley, Oregano and Spearmint. We’ll see how they do. I have no green thumb, whatsoever, but I’m told that EVERYTHING in Virginia explodes into growth awesomeness, so we’ll see. If I CAN’T grow anything, I’ll know for sure, that gardening is just not for me, lol. Check out my little Dryad dude that my Mom got me. He’s watching over our “garden”.
Later that afternoon, the girls and I got all dolled up to go out on a date with Ahdoo later. It’s always fun to dress up.  ;)

We went to the Steakhouse for dinner. Not a whole lotta options if you’re Vegan, but it was still quite delicious. My daughter finally got to meet the waitress my hubby has been going to for the past couple years because #1: she’s an amazing waitress, and #2: she shares the same name as our eldest. What are the odds. She was a lovely lady and we all enjoyed our date!

Yesterday, I forgot to mention that it was my first born’s birthday. He is 9 now!!! I love my Onyx cat. Happy Birthday little buddy. I love you Onyx!!!
